Let's forget the negatives
Prologue

Shedding tears of joy,
Crying tears of pain.
Learning to love,
Skinning your knees.
Sadness is not eternal,
Happiness is not destination

So work have been very mundane la.. Start work, count down to lunch, drag back to work, count down to knocking off and then go home! Today marks my first day at Fixed Deposit Dept. Ok la.. My colleagues are wonderful people. = )

I recieved a forwarded mail from my colleague few weeks ago which made me think and reflect. Shall share here:

Paradox of Time
Today we have bigger house but smaller families,
more convenience but lesser time.
We have more degrees and more knowledge,
but less common sense and lesser judgement.
We've been all the way to the moon and back
but have trouble crossing the road to meet our neighbours.
We have more experts but more problems,
more medicine but less good health.
We have taller buildings, but shorter temper
Wider roads but narrower viewpoints.
We spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast,
get angry too quickly, stay up too late, read too little,
watch TV too much and are less considerate.
We talk too much, love too little and lie too often.
Though we have learned how to make a living,
we haven't learnt to to live.
So are we blessed or pathetic?

Ok these few weeks had been a test of faith really. So many times i've been placed in front of a crossroad - alone to face the things. It's so discouraging... Made blunders at work and was really down. Maybe i've been too demanding of myself. Until one of my officer sent me a sms to say that nobody is perfect and that i shouldnt be worrying too much. It made me cry.

Colleagues are telling me different stories. Even the officers. Everyone seemed concerned, but when i got to hear so many of it and each of the stories are different, i couldnt help but to doubt who to believe. Luckily last week i was away on course.

"Worry looks around, sorry looks back and faith looks up" It's only the start of another working week!

On the brighter side, i bought 2 pairs of heels today. One for work since the old pair is too worn out, and the other one was so tempting la. Noda has been having the 2nd pair at 50% off sale lately; in the end i paid less than 50bucks for 2 pairs of shoes! ; )

School has started and i've gone through the referencing workshop plus first lesson for both my modules. Can you imagine we have a case study due on 3rd week? Luckily i wasn't so ambitious as to take up 3 modules per semester. Well, so coincidentally that one of my module lecturer turned out to be Mr Jonas Lee, who taught Marketing Research in NP during my time! No wonder he looked so familiar la.

Short entry tonight.. Tired.

Yesterday went to SGH to visit one of Shaun's friend. To be clearer, see him for the final time. His friend was pronounced 100% brain dead and was on life support machine. Though i've only seen him for few times, it was still quite unbearable to see him lying there.. He was at dbl O clubbing when he fell and one of his blood vessel burst, causing the lack of oxygen to his brain. So sad.. It was planned that the doctors would shut off the life support machine at 9 last night, but he stopped breathing before they could do that. Maybe he already knew what was going to happen to him.

Life is so fragile.. Never underestimate a fall.

RIP
